Showing the very original game graphics compared to this is heavy cope. OG release was something around 2000 if you can believe it and was one of if not the first 3d RTS games out along with a couple others. This game has been remade twice on steam since then with the initial steam (HD) release and then the Extended edition with the Chinese mythology. And you can also tell the mechanics of the units and buildings all function the same so it is the same assets and engine. The one thing I can say Im looking forward to is the revitalized modding community with this. Just hoping it lasts long enough. What they needed to make was a game somewhere between this and TW Warhammer with a dynamic map much like Battle for Middle Earth II had back in the day. Hope this proves enough interest in this game that they FINALLY make what is a 20 year long needed second entry into this game. Finally a game that successfully makes me feel old.

I heard the new portraits are AI generated, and looking at Zeus’s hand that does seem to be the case. I’m surprised they left something in like that for promotional material

I love how they changed the proportions of everything. The buildings now feel like buildings and some myth units really feel like big monsters

The Titans does not look similar to the original version to me, they should make units as close as possible to the original version, and give real names of deities and units, not fancy names.

Honestly there really is only one thing im really hopeful for, and that is, i hope they fixed the ai properly and it doesnt cheat. Like how i send my villagers to an obscure random spot away from any town center and i see the ai's army charge towards my city, only to suddenly shift directions and head towards that random spot. Or how ive destroyed the ai's markets and it hasnt touched the gold mines at all, yet "somehow" keeps producing units.

I'm looking forward to playing this on my Xbox Series X, I've really enjoyed playing AoE2 DE and AoE4 on my Xbox as I don't have a gaming PC or the space for a computer desk and I think the way they've mapped stuff onto a controller has been pretty good

Just tried this. Went to look at the video without pausing the game and my sea moth got destroyed :( It was one of those tentacle, teleporting guys on the way down the cliff. I didn't realize until right before it broke my moth ;-; Now i gotta wait until tomorrow to rebuild, get all the mods back, and then find my way back to this location.

I am equally impressed with the visual improvements on human soldiers as I am with the myth units. They also changed the sizes of all units to make them more realistic.

I missed this the first time so I am definitely going to pick this up ASAP😊

I really wish they would make the Minotaur a bit smaller. After all, it is supposed to be a beast with a bull's head and human body. Sure, a large body, but I think this is too much.

Will they end OOS and MapHack? Improve optimization in multiplayer matches? He's already handsome, if he does that he gets the goty.

I play this a few times a year since it came out. I'll definitely play this. I'm just sad the more you play it the faster you can pass a level. Best game ever!!
